Abby is getting better

My Abby girl is nearly well. I will get a picture of her leg the next time I wrap it. For now, here is a film of her. Abby and IKE: Abby went to the woodlands to an English riding stables. Denice took good care of her and she had others to talk to and play with. Abby had a few lessons on how to be a horse while there. However, she is not the same. She is still lovable but she is not so frisky. She don't run and play any more and she seems older. She is mellow. I hope to see some of that spirt return soon. Denice felt it was best to leave Abby's leg un wrapped to heal only it was not healling correctly so Abby had to go back into the wraps. I gave her a scrub and reopend the wound. This let the swelling in her ankle go down and the skin start back to closing. These is just a TINY bit left to close now and I think next week she will be free of the bandages. It has been a long road to getting well.

Abby got hurt.

My baby girl got hurt. I am so sad for her. Abby just LOVES me now however. She lets me wrap her legs every night and takes her medicines with no troble at all. My friend Jonnny comes over every night to help in case she decides not to let me fix her up. I will get more pictures of her this week end.

Abby is growing up

Abby is growing up but not as fast as her attitude! I am going to work hard this week to get some extra time off. Abby is going to get some adjustments made... LOL. Sassy is NOT the word for her... She just thinks everything should be her way or it is NO WAY and she is outta here!!! I love having this baby. This is Abby and her bird, the last we saw of the bird I think. I bought food and a feeder for the bird and two days later it was gone. This blog is not letting me edit and do things the way I want them in here so hang in there untill I find out how to fix it. The next movie of Abby will be of her running (she is the most beautiful then) with me in my car to keep up with her...LOL. I tried a few but I can not drive and tape her very good. I will the next time I try it.

Abby Update

Abby has a new friend at her feed bucket... A Parakeet!!! And here is ABBY!!! I just love watching Abby! These shots were after her dinner on the 24th of June. Abby is MUCH nicer now. However the donkey had to get a new home. He lives at Rouls on Hwy 6. Abby will let me catch her, walk her and brush her. She still needs lots of work on the walking but she is understanding it. So on the 23rd, A GREAT DAY with Abby. On the 24th: Abby was no where to be seen... my heart was racing, I thought someone might have taken her. As I approached the very back of the pasture she called back to me, Abby had found the shelter and was sleeping in there. She followed me to get her dinner and ate very well. Her appetite has grown. She would not let me pet her and I had to slip the lead on her as she ate. We walked for a bit and came back to her dinner. She ate and let me pet her. I took the lead off and she was back to not letting me pet her again. We will work on that come Thursday.

Abby Comes Home

This is Abby!! She is one of my 51st birthday presents. WOW, what a gift!!! Thank you Tara so very much for having Abby come into my life. This was very kind of you to send her here. I will love her dearly(as soon as I can catch her) LOL. Abby is the red filly not the painted donkey. He had a name that was not nice so I am still working on a name for him. He will not let me pet him so he is not trained and if he teaches Abby not to let me get her then he will be looking for a new home. I just came in from trying to pet Abby, not too good when the donkey moves her. I caught her rope and she pulled away. I will need to wear gloves and be ready for the pull. Soooo, I will try in the morning as well as repair my fence where it is weak.
